At the end of the 1920s, Établissements Devillaine et Frères (EDEF) inaugurated the Devisix name, associating the beginning of their family name with the number 6. The brand probably wanted to evoke the imposing 40hp six-cylinder of the diamond-shaped firm - with its new logo introduced in 1925 - but also to take up the commercial name of the most popular Renault NN, known as "6hp". These handsome toys were distributed by Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville, Printemps and Etablissements Mestre et Bltatgé, the world's leading supplier of automobiles and velocipedes. Today, very few examples have survived, and even fewer in this admirably preserved condition.
