Lot of 20 jewelry drawings on tracing paper, in pencil enhanced with polychrome gouache, including an oak leaf brooch set with diamonds circa 1945, three floral brooches enhanced with diamonds and pearls, a bow brooch enhanced with diamonds, a suite of spray brooches and fireworks in gold, platinum and diamonds typical of the years 1955/1965, and a spray brooch design signed with the Paul Touzet company wet stamp.
Paul TOUZET, a designer and jeweler active from the 1940s to the 1970s, worked, according to family tradition, for VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, BOUCHERON and STERLE. He is also said to have worked with Georges BRAQUE and Jean COCTEAU on their jewelry. His creations are typical of French and Parisian jewelry production during the Trente Glorieuses.
