The passion is contagious, the examples are many. Members of a family of bankers who lived in France and abroad, put this collection together between the late 19 th century and the 1940s, boosting the odds of coming across that rare find. One was a scholar, the other had a fascination for scientific objects, but each contributed to creating a coherent whole, now dispersed for the delight of other connoisseurs. Attributed to Frères Rochat, Geneva, ca. 1820, music box in yellow, pink and green gold, enamel decoration, music played by brass cylinders with pins, stamped Sené & Detalla, master goldsmiths. 9.2 x 5.7 x 4 cm.
