Members of a family of bankers who lived in France and abroad, put this collection together between the late 19 th century and the 1940s, boosting the odds of coming across that rare find. One was a scholar, the other had a fascination for scientific objects, but each contributed to creating a coherent whole, now dispersed for the delight of other connoisseurs.
