Christian Rosa, described only seven years ago as “stratospherically successful”, has been charged with fraud over the sale of four Pettibon forgeries. When one of the forgeries wound up in a New York auction house in January, many instantly questioned its authenticity. Rosa fled the country, and he remains at large.
