In February, Gabriel Zuchtriegel was named Pompeii’s newest director, having managed the Greek City of Paestum since 2015. The German-born archaeologist promised a rejuvenation & reimagination of the site, but Irene Bragantini & Stefano De Caro seem to have little faith, claiming that he “lacks experience”. (The Times)
