If just three artists had to be picked, they would obviously be Diego Giacometti , François Pompon and Philippe Hiquily. These names are the stuff of dreams—all the more so because Margaret Louise Brozek (née Feist) unfailingly chose pieces not only beautiful but rare. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, Peggy (as she was known) came from a family of several generations of real estate developers in the New York area. The first important figure in her life was undoubtedly her father, who was involved in numerous social and public activities, notably as president of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of Ducks Unlimited. An environmentalist before his time, he passed on his love of nature to his daughter. Another influential person was her mother-in-law, Sybil Esmond Uzielli Billotte.
