The pandemic did not impact his success: in 2020, 916 of his works were sold at auction. Banksy ranks fourteenth in the top of the world's most expensive living artists, and on March 23 he set a new record with Game Changer, which sold for €19.45 million to benefit the British National Health Service.

For six years now the Lyon-based artist known as Emenem has been filling potholes with multicolored mosaics. Like Banksy, he prefers anonymity, refuses to do interviews and information about him is limited to a small biography on his official website. Emenem calls himself “the pavement surgeon.” (The Guardian)

The mural shows a woman doubled-over and sneezing – the second Covid-related work by the anonymous British street artist. It appeared yesterday on the side of a house on Bristol’s Vale Street, the steepest street in the UK, and a photo was posted to the artist’s official Instagram account.

It has been almost a year since the British-based street artist released a large body of work. From what we can glean from his recent Instagram post, it now seems that he has been busy in war-torn Ukraine. One particular mural depicts a child defeating what looks to be Vladimir Putin in a Judo bout.

The anonymous street artist, Banksy, has debuted a new work in Borodyanka, Ukraine. The British-based artist took to Instagram to share the image of a woman flipping herself over rubble using her hands. It appears on a partly destroyed building and is very small in proportion to the overall structure.

Banksy, the anonymous British street artist who sales works for millions at auctions, appears to be working in his bathroom during confinement. He just posted 5 pictures of his lockdown-bathroom-artwork on Instagram, commenting: "My wife hates it when I work from home".

A Banksy-esque work has appeared on the wall of the former HM Prison Reading, where poet and playwright Oscar Wilde served two years. The work depicts an inmate escaping using a rope made of bedsheets, tied to a typewriter. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if Banksy will confirm that he is indeed behind the work.

The mural, in the town of Hostomel northwest of Kyiv, depicting a woman wearing a gas mask and carrying a fire extinguisher, was "ruthlessly cut off by attackers" according to Kyiv Police Department, Andrey Nebitov. A group that dismantled and tried to move the work was caught by police and security forces. (CNN)

Anonymous street artist Banksy has posted a video to his Instagram and website which shows behind-the-scenes footage chronicling the process of his most recent series in Horenka, a small village on the northwest outskirts of Kyiv. The video combines Ukrainian folk song with panning shots of the creation process. (TAN)
