F. Merigot Course aux Anes" platter, signed F. Merigot, Manufacture de Porcelaine de Limoges, France, Circa 1860 Diameter: 35 cm; Depth: 5 cm Charming Limoges porcelain dish with scalloped edges depicting a popular festival, a donkey race in a village in Brittany, attended by families in traditional dress. Biography: Maximilien-Ferdinand Mérigot (1822-1892) was a French porcelain painter who worked at the Manufactures de Sèvres and Limoges. His works are exhibited at the Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre and the Manufacture-musées nationaux de Sèvres.
