Saïr Africa 57 x 40 cm Acrylic on OSB (wood) Unique work sold framed, delivered with certificate of authenticity. KI GALERIE encourages the emergence of young artists and the talents of tomorrow. Collectors from all over the world place their trust in the Paris-based gallery. Saïr is a French artist and member of the "777" collective, which brings together several artists from the street art and graffiti scene. Self-taught, Saïr discovered the world of painting through graffiti in the late 90s. With a group of artists, he began to cover the walls of his city with his paintings. Saïr describes himself as a compulsive task detoucher. His work takes as its starting point the stain, the imperfection of its support. His stroke focuses on matter and texture. From there, he goes on to carve out a multitude of abstract forms and associate them with one another. The result is an array of abstract and non-abstract shapes and figures, sometimes vegetal or animal, but always richly detailed. Saïr's work is a window into an organic universe of its own. His drawing technique is particularly sharp, and the finesse of his touch reinforces the sensation of depth of field. Packed with detail, each of his paintings takes time to unravel its secrets.
