The blocks of this alley from the Preah Khan temple (here partially reassembled) were dismantled and removed by Louis Delaporte in 1873, then reassembled for the 1878 Universal Exhibition in Paris, where they introduced a vast public to Khmer art. Today, they are on display at the Musée Guimet, Paris.
