JEAN SERRIERE - PAIR OF SILVER RAFRAICHISSOIRS CIRCA 1900 Pair of large rafraichissoirs made circa 1920, swollen form with pedestal. Embossed and chased with foliage and vine branches on each side, two small handles soldered to the neck. Dimensions: height 25 cm - diameter 22 cm Material : 1st quality silver 950/°°. Weight : 5477 grams approx. Marked: MINERVE Signature and hallmark of A.HEBRARD, Paris Unique piece commissioned by Madame JEANNE LANVIN Provenance: Collection of Madame Jeanne LANVIN and her daughter the Countess Jean de Polignac. Dispersed by the LIBERT auction house on December 5, 2008 in Paris (lot 100). Private collection of Mr & Me L. From 1919, JEAN SERRIERE exhibited his silverware at the Galerie HEBRARD and from 1920, he participated in the Salon de la Société des artistes, Décorateur and the Salon d'Automne.
