A Marquetry Gueridon Table.
A sycamore, amaranth, buoxwood and mahagony gueridon table after a design by the cabinetmaker Diehl opening with one drawer. Gilt bronze ornamentation - pearls, fruits, ribbons, paw feet. The marquetry represents a birds couple surrounded by a circle decorated by a frieze. The legs joined by an "entretoise" decorated with bronze pearls. In very good condition.

Charles-Guillaume Diehl installed in Paris in 1840. He specialized in the production of smal furniture pieces decorated with bronze and porcelain, living room tables, tables for small work and toillete tables, furniture units as mariage gifts. He participated in numerous exhibitions.
