APOLLINAIRE, Guillaume.
The Three Don Juan. Paris, Bibliothèque des Curieux, 1914. In-8, carmine demi-maroquin with small corners in Bradel style, black percaline dishes, smooth back very richly decorated and mosaic, all gilded edges, preserved covers (Fat).
Original edition.
Twelve non-text illustrations, including a frontispiece by Goya.
Copy with a tasty autograph from the poet to Fernand Fleuret, his most faithful friend and co-author of L'Enfer de la Bibliothèque Nationale (1913): "To Fernand Fleuret, who saw Don Juan's tomb, fork and spoon. Very cordial memory of Guillaume Apollinaire".
It is with Fleuret and Louis Perceau that Apollinaire gave birth to the subversive collection of the Bibliothèque des Curieux.
Superb and perfect copy in an original binding very well done by Madeleine Gras with its large oriental decoration on the back suggesting a glimpse of the inner pages.
Origin: Fernand Fleuret (sent).
