Alfred BACKMANN (1863 - 1956), "The Great Canal in Venice". Oil on canvas, signed lower right. H.33 - W.55 cm. (Restorations). After studying in East Prussia, Bachmann settled in Munich from 1891. We retain from him his taste for travels where he draws his inspiration. The artist leaves us numerous landscapes of Iceland, Portugal, Istanbul and especially Venice where he stayed many times.
