TOMBAK CUTTING with enamel decoration. Gilded copper tombak cup moulded with gadroons and with riveted decoration of blue enamelled cabochons in the shape of rosettes. Under the lip, a chiselled frieze of vegetal foliage alternating bifid palmettes and flowers in bud.Eastern Turkey, Diyarbakir, late 18th - early 19th century Diameter at the opening : 14.5 cm, height : 5.8 cm Condition : some shocks, gilding faded in places, enamel jumps, one cabochon missing.
