"Saint Sebastian". Alabaster sculpture with gilt and polychrome residue. Burgos or Italian School. Renaissance. Early 16th century.
Maravellous statue of Saint Sebastian, finely sculpted and very natural-looking. The young and handsome saint is tied to the tree of his torture, with his head leaning backwards in a gesture of ecstasy and abandonment before his death.
Height 56 cm.
