Exceptional porcelain chandelier 6-piece ; conically tapered shaft with a lamp crown in the shape of a sunflower connected to a hemispherical, traffic light-like bowl body, covered by curved, open-worked bands. Starting from it six candlestick arms curved like a volute with bell-shaped glass shades in stonecut decoration. Five diagonal supporting struts all around, relieved with flowers and tendrils. Filigree modelled, plastically applied blossom decoration of sunflowers, anemones and gerberas with pastel-coloured staffage in delicate yellow and apricot shades. On the body wall large lily decor in orange to red shades in soft painting. Designed by Emil Rutte, Wilhelm Carl Robra, Bernhard Butzke, Heinrich Liphardt, before 1900. Extremely finely crafted, vegetable and gilded bronze mountings. Red Imperial Orb as painting stamp. H. ca. 90 cm. /V/attached: Handwritten letter from the auction sales office of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin, dat. "10 January 1913" with no. 17594 to Mr. Pursche(?) Hochwohlgeborener (in) Posen with notification of the delivery of the goods, short description of the goods, consisting of a "crown" hung with glass prisms and two sconces as well as instructions for unpacking. Stamp of the KPM factory outlet store. Paper from the printing house "Carl Schleicher und Schüll" with watermark of the KPM Berlin.// /V/ Decorative vases and candlesticks of the KPM Berlin with comparable modelling of the floral decoration, painting as well as colour and gold decoration are known from this time.
