Fraenkel replaced professionals by Dadaists. In August 1920, Théodore Fraenkel had joined Breton in Lorient where he spent his holidays with his parents. "Comrade of Breton at Chaptal College since 1907, Théodore Fraenkel (1896-1964) has since then maintained a complicit friendship with him.
