Provenance: Collection of Frédéric and Angèle Satre (called the beautiful Angèle). Frédéric Satre was mayor of PONT-AVEN and innkeeper in this locality. In exchange for meals, he received paintings from the painters of the famous school.
To be compared with the painting kept in the Museum of Fine Arts in Breste, acquired in 1984.
An artist of the Pont-Aven school, Jourdan stayed from 1911 to 1920 in Brigneau at the Mère Macon inn.
