A fine stamped miner in vermeil with rich pearl trimming, Vienna, 19th century
Applies silver, partly engraved, partly finely chased and enamelled. On a raised octagonal base which is indistinctly stamped at the front, the miner in typical costume with his hands raised. The plinth is decorated with pearl and gemstone trimmings and richly decorated in Renaissance style and with blue enamel. The miner is fully worked and also decorated with fine enamel. In his hands, on the thighs, on the hat as well as in the stylized backpack cultured or natural pearls are processed. Height 9.5 cm. Weight 98 g. Slight damage due to age. Partially rubbed. Hallmarks not clear.
