Restorations Sitting in royal ease on a throne, Kubera, the god of abundance and wealth with a plump belly is represented as a prince with a rich tiara, necklace, bracelets and a dagger at his belt. He leans with his left hand on a purse and holds a lemon in his right. Such important and complete representations (only a fragment of the throne back is missing) are very rare to have come down to us, given the fragility of the material used. L The Jambhala/ Vaishravana Buddhist versions would later become popular in the northern schools, in Tibet, China and as far away as Japan. Kubera Bangladesh, 6-7th century Terracotta.
