The closest was the portrait of Henry III by Etienne Dumonstier today in the Narodowe Museum in Poznan.
Our version retains many specific details such as the scar in the eyebrows, the dark line of
the bridge of the nose or the hem of the lips, which disappeared in later copies. Another portrait of the king,
formerly attributed to François Quesnel the Elder, is kept in the Louvre museum (RF3964).
