An important portico clock in white marble, black marble and gilt bronze, decorated with personifications of Athena and Venus on either side of military trophies such as flags and laurel wreaths. The movement enclosed in a cylinder is at the centre of a terrace decorated with flowering vases, supported by six columns decorated with garlands. The oval base is decorated with alternating scrolls of rosettes and rests on small feet in patina. An eagle with outstretched wings holds a lightning bolt in its claws. The white enamelled dial is signed "Hippolite Lapret".
