Looking for a small car suitable for Brussels traffic, the owner’s choice turned to this model for its particularly healthy and well-preserved condition. Having received a major mechanical overhaul in January 2020, the driving of this car gave us complete satisfaction during our review. Well guided, agile in town but sufficiently lively thanks to its 70 hp and the good staging of its 5-speed gearbox, this car clearly offered an additional pleasure compared to its competitors at the time, Mini Cooper, Renault 5 and other Peugeot 104. Accounting for only 79,921 km on the day of our visit, its bodywork is in very good condition as is its engine bay with no visible traces of rust. Its interior is not to be outdone with seats and carpets in good condition, as is the dashboard, not cracked by the sun. Easy to use regularly, with fairly simple maintenance, beautiful specimen have become rare.
This is an interesting 6th Series produced from 1982 to 1984 before the last model supervised by Carlo Abarth himself marked the end of 14 years of production of this little Italian bomb.
