Important panel of deeply carved oak stalls representing the Descent from the Cross under an architectural canopy. Against the background of the wall, Joseph of Arimathea, wearing a tunic falling to the ground and wearing a cap, grasps the body of Christ and embraces it with his arms while Nicodemus kneels and supports his feet; the Saviour bows his head, wearing a crown of intertwined thorns, on his right shoulder, his hips encircled by a long perizonium covering his knees; anatomy of the body still archaic with pilgrim pectorals and a rib cage with underlined submammary ribs. Germany?, ca. 1320. (Small accidents, fillings, slits and consolidations) Height 143 cm - Width 64.5 cm
