circular box reminiscent of a Japanese box made of split and woven bamboo.
Proof made of finely carved ivory; the lid receiving the title decoration enhanced, in part, with black and enriched with a golden nail seedling simulating a sandy sea bed.
The edges, that of the lid and that of the base, and the underside showing a braid.
Work executed by the artist in the 1920's.
