"Saint Peter the Martyr or Saint Peter of Verona". Carved, gilded and polychromed sculpture with estofado technique. Italy. Renaissance. 16th century. 93 x 34 x 33 cm. Magnificent and delicate image depicting the saint, as is customary, in his Dominican habit and holding two of his attributes, the book and the three-crowned palm. The great sculptural quality is evident in the saint´s beautiful face.
