VERY BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF SERVANT TABLES in bronze and gilded brass resting on twisted fluted sheath feet, joined by a finely chiselled animated spacer of palmettes and four-button corolla with sunflower corolla and an antique style fire-pot vase with laurel torus scraps. The columnar feet end in feminine terms underlined with gadroons, foliage and flowers on an amati background. The top is supported by capitals in the shape of plaited baskets decorated with roses, the circular connections presenting knotted medallions with garlands of pearls. The belt is finely decorated with applied garlands of flowers and fruit and scenes depicting Bacchus as a child being carried by fauns. The tray in sodalite or blue Brazilian granite with a cavet set in a moulding decorated with a frieze of acanthus leaves, ovum and rosettes. Mark "E" recessed under the spacer. Louis XVI style, end of the XIXth or 1st half of the XXth century, in the taste of Adam WEISWELER (1744-1820). Height. 75 cm. Width 49 cm. Length. 77 cm. These tables of a very beautiful quality of gilding and chasing are inspired by models delivered by the merchant merchant Daguerre to Count Stroganoff in SAINT-PETERSBOURG at the end of the 18th century.
