JANOS LAGOS TIHANYI (1892 - 1957) Hungarian school Oil on canvas Signed lower right and located Budapest 69,5 x 100 cm The impressionist influence is felt in the works of this Hungarian painter. He exhibited in Belgrade in 1917 and in Lemberg in 1918. After the end of the war, he resumed his studies in Budapest, first with Béla Iványi-Grünvald and István Réti, then with the graphic department of Viktor Olgyai at the College of Fine Arts in Budapest. In 1925 he participated in group exhibitions at the National Salon and in 1927 at the Ernst Museum. He painted mainly landscapes and two of his paintings are in the Hungarian National Gallery.
