Our painting represents a female portrait inspired both by the Cézanne chromatic palette and the compositions of his contemporary Tamara de Lempicka (1898 - 1980). The woman seems to be in the midst of introspection: more than a portrait, it is a representation of universal femininity, close to the research of the German School of the inter-war period.
