HENRI RIVIÈRE (1864-1951) The Thirty-Six Views of the Eiffel Tower, 1888-1889 36 off-text lithographs in twelve colors by Henri Rivière, printed under his direction on tinted BFK de Rives paper. Drawn between 1888 and 1889, they were not published until 1902 at the request of the publisher Verneau. Paris, Eugène Verneau, 1888-1902, in-4° oblong (235 x 290 mm.), publisher's cardboard, embossed and lithographed in colours, lining and endpapers, case. Prologue by Arsène Alexandre. This suite is a double homage to the new Parisian tower and to Hokusai, whose Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji Rivière owned. Typography, ornaments, cover and guard paper by George Auriol (1863-1938). Artist's copy, unjustified. Limited edition of 500 copies, all on Rives paper. Complete work.
