Écrits traditionnels
The figure of René Guénon (1886-1951) is inseparable from the notion of primordial Tradition (or philosophia perennis), around which his entire work is built. This idea is never precisely defined, but it could be described as the set of principial truths, or unchanging principles derived from a single, sacred, first Truth. The search for these truths, disseminated at different levels in all religions and human philosophies, was continued and developed by Guénon's heirs, some of whom, foremost among them Frithjof Schuon (1907-1998), are present in this volume. The Crisis of the Modern World, a major work of traditional thought and a violent critique of Western societies, is offered here in its original edition.
