A good edition of Antonio Agustin y Albanell, the famous Spanish humanist historian, who pioneered historical research into the sources of canon law. This work, originally published in Spanish in 1587, has long remained one of the best works for the study of coins of classical antiquity, focusing on the Roman imperial period but also treating the coins of the Roman Republic and local coins.
