FOLLOWER OF THOMAS HACHE (Toulouse, 1664 - Grenoble, 1747) A chest of drawers in veneer and marquetry of fruitwood, holly, elm burl and walnut. It opens with three drawers in the front with inlaid geometric frames and stylized foliage. Rounded mounts with simulated flutes. The central part of the front and the sides are curved. It stands on flattened ball feet. Griotte red marble top. Work of the Dauphiné or Grenoble region from the Louis XIV period, 18th century. Bronze ornamentation. Height. 88 Width. 128 Depth. 69 cm. (Restorations of use, as is). Provenance : Grenoble collection. A French 18th century chest of drawers by one of Thomas HACHE's followers. Fruit tree, holly, elm burl and walnut marquetry and wood veneer. Cherry red marble top. Bronze ornamentation added subsequently.
