Krikor BEDIKIAN (1908-1981) Still life with fruits Oil on canvas signed upper right, countersigned and titled on the back. Private collection, Monte-Carlo. Size : 55 x 46 cm French painter of Armenian origin born in Ankara, he embarked for Marseille in 1926 with a false passport cheating on his age. In 1928 he arrived in Paris and joined the Académie Julian where he met Missak Manouchian who became his great friend and model. He exhibited in Lausanne where all his paintings were sold, then in Alexandria, Cairo, Milan, New York and London.
