Islamic mortar
Cast bronze with engraving, minimal remnants of a red paint finish, verdigris in the depressions due to corrosion. Cylindrical, plate-like protruding upper and lower rim. Two profile rings running around the centre, framed by decorative bands with calligraphy and animals between vegetal tendrils. Concave hewn bottom, small breakouts at the rims. H 12,5, D 18,2 cm, weight approx. 4,5 kg.
