Islamic mortar
Cast bronze with engraving and silvery patina. Cylindrical, with plate-like projecting rims. Around the body three engraved calligraphy bands, another on the upper rim, between the inscription cartouches round medallions with vines and birds. Deposits of ferruginous earth at the bottom. H 19, D 20 cm, weight ca.19,8 kg.
Northeast Afghanistan/ Iran (?), 12th - 14th century.
