Islamic mortar Golden-brown copper-inlaid bronze casting with engraving, remnants of red paint, verdigris in spots. Cylindrical, with plate-like projecting rims. Three rows of four relief motifs (drops alternating with diamonds) between engraved calligraphy bands. On the upper rim six round medallions with copper inlays, between them six script cartouches. Around the lower rim four script cartouches alternating with four small round medallions. Lime deposits on the inside. H 14.7, D 21.5 cm, weight approx. 5.7 kg.
