Set of passe-partout. - Passe-partout with two bits. The bastard rod finished at each end of a spinning top, presents two bits in opposition on which comes to adapt a mobile cage, itself surmounted by an ornament in the shape of openwork heart. The bits are with section in figure. French work of the second half of the XVIIIth century. - Passe-partout with cage out of wrought iron and chiselled. The rod bored for part, bastard with flattened sphere. Flat bit, ended by a small stirrup. France, 18th century. - Cage master key. The solid cylindrical shaft ended by flattened balls has opposing bits. The cylindrical cage is surmounted by a heart. France, end of the 18th century or beginning of the 19th century. - Passe-partout with two chased and engraved iron bits. The cylindrical bastard rod is finished at each end by bits arranged in opposite directions. Between the two, a quadrangular mobile cage moves. Nice work of engraving and nets and stars on the cage, the rod and the bits. French work of the end of the 18th century. - Passe-partout with two bits. The drilled rod is finished with two bits, one with a section in the shape of a figure (3), the other with a section in the shape of an axe and pierced with numerous trimmings. The barrel-shaped cage is extended by a trapezoidal openwork grip. France, Empire period.
