Beautiful interlacing keys. - Key with interlacing iron pierced, chased, engraved. The thick, flat, oval ring is pierced with a network of interlacing drawing various motifs: heart, scrolls, heads of birds underlined by engraved nets and foliage. The ring is topped by a small molded vase and rests on an overflowing tray with an octagonal outline. Moulded and ringed back. Triangular stem drilled in triangle. The handle has a double protruding snout and a rake, pierced with spinning wheels. The small central heart lends credence to the possibility that it could be a wedding key, as keys of this type are often designated. France, 17th century. - Key with interlacing of the Renaissance period. The thick ring, approximately oval, is pierced by a set of interlacing drawn by a wide, thin, flat ribbon and which represents a succession of volutes and scrolls framing a central medallion surrounded by four small circles. The interlacing of the interlaces was underlined by a set of engraved fillets which have now almost disappeared. The truncated cylinder boss is topped by a thin hexagonal plate. The stem with section in triangle is bored of a triangle. It presents a strong bit with overflowing snout and rakes pierced with three strong trimmings. French work of the end of the 16th century or the beginning of the 17th century. - Iron furniture key pierced and moulded. The ring pierced with a trimmed ornament surmounted by a decoration with lambrequins. Long truncated cone-shaped boss between two rows of mouldings. Stem with triangular section drilled in triangle. The handle has a muzzle with two very slight projections and rakes, pierced by two large spinning wheels. France, 17th century.
