A blue and white dragon pot, 17/18th century, China, A straight sided pot featuring two dragons chasing a flaming pearl and a greek key border along the top. Not marked. The underside unglazed. D 17,9 cm, H 16 cm, Wear and glaze loss along the top edge. On the inside a small spider crack that doesn’t go through to the outside. Several glaze flaws (brown rust spots) and manufacturing irregularities. No restoration. Provenance: property of an old Dutch family.
