A hard paste porcelain covered stock bowl and its display stand decorated with port scenes in gilded reserves, floral bouquets and garlands, foliage and friezes of interlacing in gold, the bowl in relief in the form of flowers. Marks on the reverse side of the two intertwined L's, the date AA for 1778, the painter Rosset l'aîné and the gilder Vincent (active from 1753-1800).
18th century (wear to the gold, stains to the tray, small chip with an old restoration on the edge of the lid, a tiny chip near a handle, small restored accident on the edge of the bowl)
