Rare commode Régence.
Of "tomb" form. It opens with five curved drawers decorated with entrances, locks and handcuffs flanked by chased bronze jacks. The decoration is entirely inlaid with a large cartouche and four reserves adorned with a flowerpot of carnations enhanced by a sprig of lily of the valley and enlivened by two birds beaking bees, all topped by a domed canopy. The apron is cut out and the sides are cut off. Legs with hind hooves. Flamed walnut, elm and ash burr, thuja burr, fruitwood and ivory. French work from the second quarter of the 18th century. Condition : Cracks, small jumps in the veneer and the right rear foot glued back. Good quality. Dimensions : 82 131 x 73 cm.
