Fragment of a standing Vishnu. Granite. South India, Tamil Nadu. In the style of the Chola period
The left main hand is placed on the hip, the secondary hands hold chacra and conch shell, on the head Vishnu wears a kiritamukuta type crown and around the hips a tight fitting dhoti with jewellery belt. The brahmin cord (yajnopavita) runs across the chest. Metal base.
