"Tidjani" Lithograph
Description: Lithograph from the project "Invisible Masters" (winner of the Jameel Prize 2011 in London), adressing the life and legacy of forteen great mystics of Islam. Tribute to Cheikh Sidi Ahmed Tidjani (1735-1815), descendant of the Prophet on his father's side. During a vision, the Prophet Mohamed orders him to leave aside everything he learned from the other "tariqa" and to consider the Prophet as his only support to create a new Sufi order: the Tidjaniya (disciples of Sheikh Sidi Ahmed Tidjani represent more than 300 million people in the world today).
