Original ARDEBIL carpet (Persia), early 20th century Dimensions : 320 x 244cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. On an ivory field is laid a sowing of stylized polychrome flowers, forming "chevrons". In the middle stands out a four-legged table on which is placed a basket of flowers. The arches of the mihrab, of this prayer rug, are decorated with small plants. Five counter-borders, four of which are garlands of flowers, highlight the main chestnut, crenellated and decorated with flowers.
