Taken from the window of the hotel room, the encounter between real and surreal accompanies the search for sense and meaning, coincidence (a passer-by) and intention (long exposure) the work of art that has risen to icon status. Whether trees, here fenced in by man and kept viable in the pavement, will ultimately outlive their beneficiary? The blurring of the latter seems to suggest a finiteness (dissolution) - if, on the contrary, it has not just come into being anew and its creation has begun at the feet ...
