A THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORMOLU AND PINK PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK in the Orientalist style, ornately cast with a canopy over four supports terminating in spire finials, over a shaped base with oval recess to the plinth, the porcelain panel depicting a military trophy on a gilt and pink ground, the dial with colourful griffins on a gilt ground, flanked by the pink Roman chapter ring with gilt numerals, the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell (now lacking), stamped 'S Marti et Cie, MEDAILLE BRONZE', 42cm high
