RARE silver VERSEUSE, BAYONNE between 1698 and 1705 by Jean DELANE II. Of baluster form, it rests on three feet with scrolls with attachments in superimposed lanceolate leaves. The plain body is engraved with a coat of arms of alliance with two lions surmounted by a crown comtale possibly later and the initials B.M below. The spout ends in a base and has a removable cover. The lid is bordered with gadroons and topped by a flower bud-shaped grip. The handle is made of turned wood and fixed in the sleeve by a point (silver reinforcement on the sleeve). PB. 530 g. Height: 18,5 cm.
