IMPORTANT silver COFFEEPOT, LILLE 1783-1784 by Mathias CORSIN received in 1753. Piriform, with twisted ribs going up on the lid, it rests on four feet with scrolls in the form of rocaille cartouche. The duck spout is chiselled with two large shells on the lower lip. The lid is decorated with a terrace of oak leaves topped by an acorn. The side handle is made of blackened wood (initials B.S. engraved under the body, probably later). Wt. 1142 g. Height 27.8 cm.
Note that this coffee pot rests on four feet, which is very rare in Lille production.
